Lisa joined Hobe & Lucas in 1992 and specializes in auditing, attestation, compliance, and accounting services; focusing on a number of industries including broker-dealers, investment companies (hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital), medical and dental groups, professional service firms, and not-for-profits. She has significant experience working with employee benefit plans, and clients within the construction and manufacturing industries. Lisa puts her top-notch multi-tasking skills to use as she also oversees the firm’s recruiting and HR functions. For over thirty years, Lisa’s genuine and dependable nature, comprehensive knowledge, and excellent communication skills have enabled her to provide timely and professional advice and assistance to a number of individuals, business owners, and organizations to help them in achieving business success.

During the early part of her career, Lisa noticed a lack of female leadership in the Accounting profession. She saw this as an opportunity and felt inspired to become a role model for other women in her field. Lisa’s career blossomed and she began to advance in the firm, eventually achieving her goal by becoming the first female Partner at Hobe & Lucas, an accomplishment that she is forever proud of and grateful for. As a Partner, Lisa takes an active role in the day-to-day operations of the firm. Her leadership style is one of collaboration. She brings a calm and patient demeanor to the room and enjoys listening, communicating, and sharing. Lisa promises to keep it real through a straightforward approach with each and every client while forming genuine relationships that she so deeply values.

One of Lisa’s main personal interests includes her deep passion for healthy living and healthy eating. She and her husband are avid CrossFitters and, as a breast cancer survivor, Lisa strongly supports the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation – a nonprofit organization working to improve the lives those affected by breast cancer and their families that live in Northeast Ohio. Lisa also stays active traveling and spending time outdoors where you can typically find her on her stand-up paddleboard or hiking on the amazing trail network that we are so fortunate to have in the area. Her passion for sustainability continues into her love of cooking with local ingredients and her community involvement where she is on the Board of Spice Field Kitchen, a nonprofit that connects people with the source of their food to help individuals learn how sustainable agriculture and mindful preparation nourish people and can change the world. Lisa would be remiss if she didn’t mention her cat, Francie, who is the sweetest Siberian cat that you will ever meet!
